After crossing Tiberio bridge and walking along the roman road il Corso d’Augusto, you come to “Arco d’Augusto” (Augustan Arch), the heart of the historical centre of Rimini which is walking distance from our house!
Not only has Rimini invaluable evidence of the Roman era such as the Bridge and Arch, two symbolic monuments,but also Domus del chirurgo ( the Doctor’s house) or the mosaics to be found in the interesting local museum. In addition, The Malatestiano temple, a masterpiece by Leon Battisti Alberti, and the fortress Rocca, at its maximum splendour in the period of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta,are wonderful examples of the Renaissance. The streets around the centre are also perfect for those who want to indulge in some shopping therapy.
